No. Numbers up to 99,999 mark the limit of the current NCERT Class 5 text, which includes no decimal work—no tenths, hundredths, or any decimal notation. Lakhs and decimals are both introduced in Class 6. This represents an actual shift compared to earlier NCERT editions and most commercial textbooks, and does not indicate a shortfall in your child's learning.
