Free learning games for Class 1 to 10

These are Skoolur’s free learning games for Class 1 to 10 - spelling and dictation read aloud in a real voice, a times tables race that goes to 20, class-wise quizzes in grammar, science and general knowledge, phonics for children still decoding, and a sixty-second mental maths sprint. 20 games and 5 parent tools, all running in the browser with no account and nothing to install.

The boring part is what took the time. Word lists that match what a Class 3 child in India is actually taught, in British spellings rather than American. Maths clamped to what the current NCERT books really contain. Admission rules checked against government orders, with the ones we could not verify marked as unverified rather than quietly guessed. That is the part most free tool sites skip.

Pick your child’s class

Each game is built for a short daily go rather than a long session, because spelling, tables and dictation all improve through frequency. Filter by class and subject rather than reading every card - a game pitched two years off is worse than no game.

Parent tools

Not games. These answer one question and stop - which class a child is eligible for, what a percentage works out to, or a worksheet to print.

  • Percentage to CGPA calculator

Turn a percentage score into a CGPA using the CBSE 9.5 scale. Walk through the working and point out cases where the conversion breaks down.

  • CGPA to percentage calculator

CBSE specifies a 9.5 conversion factor for turning a CGPA into a percentage. Go through the calculation one step at a time instead of jumping straight to the answer.

  • School admission age calculator

Tell us your child's date of birth and your state, and find out which class they belong in, plus their age on that state's official cut-off date.

  • Maths worksheet generator

Pick your class, subject and level, and you will get a fresh A4 worksheet, ready to print, with its own answers sheet attached.

  • Marks percentage calculator

Type in the marks for each subject to see your total, the percentage this works out to, and an indicative CBSE CGPA.

How they are built

Four rules we hold ourselves to

Children’s games are one of the easiest places on the internet to behave badly - an advert between rounds, a sign-up to save progress, a tracker following a nine-year-old around the web. None of that happens on these pages, and none of it ever will.

The other rule is about length. Spelling, tables and reading fluency improve through short, frequent repetition, so each tool is designed for about ten minutes. A child will come back to ten minutes tomorrow. They will not come back to forty.

  • No account, no download

All tools function in your browser on any device - phone, tablet or computer. No installation, no account needed, and nothing locked behind a sign-up wall.

  • No adverts, ever

Made for children. No ads, no external tracking, and no forms of targeting appear on these pages.

  • Nothing is stored

We retain no score history, no cookie, and no analytics of children's typing. Close the tab and it disappears entirely, including any date of birth entered in the admission calculator.

  • Written for the Indian syllabus

We include British spellings, multiplication tables to 20, rupee denominations, NCERT-aligned mathematics, and Indian state admission requirements - not an American product with changed currency.

Where a game stops helping

Games are good at drilling things a child already half-knows. They are poor at explaining why a method works, and useless at spotting that a Class 6 child is stuck because of something they missed in Class 3.

That is what a teacher is for. If your child is practising every day and still not improving, the problem is almost never effort - it is a gap further back, and someone needs to find it.

  • Spelling, tables and dictation are reinforced through games.
  • Online testing provides instant feedback and strengthens method
  • The teacher identifies the underlying gap creating the problem.

Questions about the games

What parents ask

Are all of these free?

Yes, every one of them, with no account and nothing to download. That applies whether or not you ever book a class with us. There is no trial, no watermark and no premium tier hiding behind them.

Does my child need an account?

No, and there is nowhere to make one. No score is kept between visits, nothing a child types is stored, and no analytics run on children’s interactions with these pages - see the privacy policy.

Is it safe for a small child to use without supervision?

That's our intention precisely. There are no advertisements, no chats with unknown people, no transactions, and no account requirements across any of these pages. The single thing an adult should supervise is the spelling and dictation audio, because a child gains the most benefit when someone marks their written responses with them immediately afterwards.

Which classes are they for?

Spelling, dictation and grammar span Classes 1 through 10. Times tables apply from Class 2 to 8. The maths worksheet tool works for Class 1 to 5. The admission age tool is aimed at parents of children between roughly two and eight years old, not at children themselves.

Do they work on a phone?

Yes. They're designed for mid-range Android phones first, featuring large buttons suitable for young fingers and minimal data use. Everything runs in any current browser without installation.

Can we print anything?

Yes. The maths worksheet generator creates an A4 page with the answer key on another page. The spelling and dictation word lists have one class per page, plus a printable times tables chart.

Can games aid learning, or are they just screen time?

For spelling, times tables and dictation, short daily repetition genuinely helps, and a game is simply the most tolerable way to get a child to do it. For understanding why a method works, or for finding the gap that caused the trouble, a game is no substitute for a teacher.

How long should a child spend on these?

Ten minutes only. Each tool is built for one short daily session because spelling and tables develop through regular practice, not long sessions. Children come back for ten minutes the next day. Forty minutes they will not.

Can I ask for a particular game?

Yes. Message Kanchan on WhatsApp with your child's class and what they keep getting stuck on. Requests from several parents for the same thing move it up the list.

Are the answers checked?

Every spelling word has been checked against a dictionary, every grammar question was written to have one defensible answer, and the maths and tables answers are computed from the same numbers that build the question, so an answer key cannot drift out of step. If you find a mistake, tell us - a wrong answer on a children’s education site matters more than a broken page.
