Overview

What this school actually is, and who governs it

Aspam Indian International School opened in Al Azra in 2013 - SPEA's register puts the establishment date at 2 June that year - which makes it one of the youngest Indian-curriculum campuses in an emirate where several of its neighbours were teaching before the UAE federation had finished forming. Age matters here in a very practical way. A school founded in 2013 has only just finished growing a cohort from Pre-KG all the way to a leaving certificate, and the school's own record shows exactly that: the first Class 10 board batch sat in 2018-19, and CBSE did not extend the affiliation to senior secondary level until 2022-23. Families comparing it with a 1975 or 1982 school in the same city are not comparing like with like, and the honest framing is that this is a school whose senior wing is three years old, not a school with three decades of Class 12 results behind it.

The group behind it is the ASPAM Education Group, whose governing-board director is listed on the school's own About page as Mr Ayush Goel. Parents searching for the name should be warned about a genuine confusion: ASPAM Scottish School is a different institution in Noida, India, run by the same family of schools, and there is no Scottish partnership attached to the Sharjah campus. SPEA's own licence register names the legal entity Aspam Indian Int. Pvt. School LLC, school 107, and CBSE's register carries it as affiliation 6630080 with school code 90020. Those two numbers, not the trading name, are what a query should quote.

Where this record can be unusually specific is staffing and board cohorts, because the school files a CBSE mandatory public disclosure and puts it on its own site. That disclosure gives 66 teachers - 16 post-graduate teachers, 36 trained graduate teachers and 14 primary teachers - alongside a named special educator and a named counsellor, and it lists the affiliation as running 2022-27. It also gives board cohort sizes, which are the most revealing numbers on the page: Class 10 grew from 20 candidates in 2022-23 to 32 and then 36, and Class 12 from 23 to 41 to 55. A senior cohort of 55 is a small sixth form by Sharjah standards, and it is worth asking the school directly which Class 11 subject combinations actually ran last year, because a stream in a school this size can fail to open on numbers alone.

SPEA's own register evaluates the school as Good, and the school repeats that on its About page as the outcome of the 2024-25 review across all key standards. Good is the middle of the six-point Itqan scale - below Outstanding and Very Good, above Acceptable, Weak and Very Weak - and it carries a concrete consequence rather than being a badge: SPEA ties the maximum permitted fee increase to the rating band, so a Good school sits below an Excellent one in what it may apply for. That is the connection most parents miss when they read an inspection grade as a marketing line.

One gap here is the school's own doing and we are not going to paper over it: the tuition page at aspamiis.com does not show a figure, asking you to complete an admissions enquiry before it will release the fee structure, and the fee PDF linked from the CBSE disclosure sits on a SharePoint link that is not publicly readable. SPEA's own licensed-schools directory fills that gap - it hosts a downloadable approved fee-structure PDF for this school, which is what the fee table below is built from. There is also no careers page anywhere in the school's site navigation, which is awkward given that "aspam indian international school sharjah vacancies" is one of the most common things people type about this school, and that is noted below as not published rather than backfilled from a third party.

Licensing, inspection and complaints sit with Sharjah Private Education Authority. The syllabus, the exams and the certificate come from CBSE, which is a different body answering different questions.

What it costs, and where that number comes from

We print the published schedule or we print nothing. No ranges, no averages, no “approximately” - a parent who budgets against an invented figure finds out at the counter.

The school's own tuition page is gated behind an enquiry form and its CBSE-disclosure fee document sits on a SharePoint address that does not open to the public, so these figures come from SPEA's directory instead: the approved fee-structure PDF (school fees, meaning tuition plus books) for licence 107, 2025-26. Uniform sits outside this figure at AED 500 for Pre-KG to KG2, AED 650 for Grades 1 to 4, AED 700 for Grades 5 to 8 and AED 800 for Grades 9 to 12. Ask the admissions office in writing whether the seat-booking amount and sibling discount the admissions page mentions change this figure for a new joiner.

Fee increases are governed by SPEA, not by the school, and that is also where a fee dispute goes.

Admissions

Getting a seat

Age and timing

The school publishes its own cut-off and anchors it to 31 March of the academic year, which is the April-start rule rather than the 31 December one the Ministry of Education introduced for September-start schools. A child must be 3 for Pre-K, 4 for KG1, 5 for KG2 and 6 for Grade 1 by that date. There is no discretion advertised for a child born a few days late.

Admission assessments commence annually from 15 September, and at the last check the school was taking applications for two forward years at once - 2026-27 and 2027-28. A decision normally lands the same day as the assessment; Grades 9 to 11 are the exception, where the school says it responds one day later. Mid-year joiners are considered only where a seat exists and the education authority approves the transfer.

What to have ready

  • Valid passport and Emirates ID for the child
  • Attested birth certificate
  • Vaccination card
  • Passport-size photographs
  • Coming from outside the UAE: attested transcripts and report cards
  • Transferring within the UAE: signed report cards, a fee clearance letter and a conduct certificate from the current school

The steps, in order

  1. 1.Fill in the online registration form on the school's admissions portal.
  2. 2.Watch for the confirmation email, which carries the assessment slot.
  3. 3.Bring the child in - an interactive session for Pre-K, a written assessment from Grade 1 upward.
  4. 4.Collect the decision the same day, or the following day if you are applying into Grades 9 to 11.
  5. 5.Pay the seat-booking amount to hold the place, and ask for the fee schedule in writing at this point if it has not already been sent.

Academics

What is taught, and which languages are on offer

Streams at Class 11 and 12

Class 11 and 12 run Science and Commerce. The school describes the subject options inside those two as extensive but does not publish the combinations, and with a Class 12 cohort of 55 in the most recent disclosed year, the practical question is not which combinations exist on paper but which ones opened last year. Ask for the timetable blocks, not the brochure list.

Languages

Arabic is compulsory here as it is in every UAE private school, on separate syllabi for native and non-native speakers, and that is a Ministry of Education requirement rather than a school policy. Beyond Arabic, this school publishes nothing: there is no language page, the academics page does not name a second language, and the admissions FAQ is silent. A well-known review site says the electives are French or Hindi, but that page is dated and we will not promote a third-party claim into a fact on a page parents make decisions from. If a specific language matters to you, ask the admissions office in writing which second languages ran in the current year at the grade you are joining, and treat a verbal answer as no answer.

What it is known for

A full public CBSE disclosure - unusual in itself - showing 66 teaching staff, a named special educator and counsellor, and a Learning Lab the school describes as serving inclusive education from Pre-K to Grade 12. It also publishes a hundred per cent pass rate at both board levels for three consecutive years, on the small cohorts described above. Facilities named on its own campus page include CBSE-specification science and ICT labs, a mirrored performing-arts studio, and a GPS-tracked air-conditioned bus fleet carrying a trained driver and a female attendant on every vehicle.

For teachers

Teaching jobs at ASPAM IIS

Roles this kind of school hires for

  • Primary teacher, Pre-KG to Grade 5
  • Trained graduate teacher for the middle school
  • Post-graduate teacher for Grades 11 and 12 in Science or Commerce subjects
  • Special educator attached to the Learning Lab
  • School counsellor
  • Bus attendant and transport staff

When hiring actually runs

Because the year opens in spring, the recruitment drive runs in January, peaks through March as the new timetable is built, and finishes with an August top-up for late resignations. This school posts its openings through its social media rather than a site page, so set an alert rather than checking a careers URL that does not exist.

Before anyone interviews you, the paperwork is SPEA’s teacher licensing route, not the school’s.

Pay, plainly

No UAE regulator - not SPEA, not the Ministry of Education, not CBSE - publishes a pay scale for private-school teachers, so any figure you see quoted for this school has been reverse-engineered from anecdote. What determines whether an offer is good is the package: housing allowance or provided accommodation, annual flights, medical cover for dependants, tuition concession for your own children, and the end-of-service gratuity. Get all of it in one written offer before comparing two schools.

We list no vacancies of our own for other schools - the link goes to the employer, so nothing here can go stale on a teacher.

Questions parents ask

ASPAM IIS, honestly answered

Is Aspam Indian International School the same as ASPAM Scottish School?

No. ASPAM Scottish School is in Noida, India, and belongs to the same education group. The Sharjah campus has no Scottish partnership and is registered with SPEA as Aspam Indian Int. Pvt. School LLC and with CBSE as affiliation 6630080. Quote the affiliation number when you write to anyone about it.

What SPEA rating does the school hold?

Good, on the six-point Itqan scale, shown on SPEA’s own register entry for the school and repeated on the school’s About page as the 2024-25 review outcome. That places it below Very Good and Outstanding and above Acceptable. The rating also caps how large a fee increase the school may apply to SPEA for.

Where do the fees for this school come from, since its own site does not publish them?

SPEA's licensed-schools directory. The school's own tuition page asks for an admissions enquiry before it releases a figure, and the fee file linked from its CBSE disclosure sits behind a private SharePoint link, but SPEA hosts a downloadable approved fee-structure PDF for licence 107 on its own site, and that is what the table above reproduces. Submit the school's enquiry form too, and ask specifically whether the seat-booking amount and any sibling discount change the total.

How old is the school, and does that matter?

It was established in 2013, and SPEA's register dates it to 2 June 2013. It matters for the senior school specifically: CBSE only extended the affiliation to Class 12 in 2022-23, so the Class 12 track is new even though the primary school is over a decade old. If you are joining in Grade 11, you are joining a young sixth form.

Which second language can my child take here?

Arabic is compulsory for everyone under UAE Ministry of Education rules. Beyond that the school publishes nothing - no language list on its academics page, nothing in the admissions FAQ. Ask the admissions office which second languages actually ran this year in the grade you are entering, and ask for the answer by email so it exists in writing.

How does the admission assessment work and when does it happen?

Assessments start from 15 September each year. Pre-K children do an interactive session rather than a test; from Grade 1 upward there is a written assessment. The school gives a decision the same day for most grades, and one day later for Grades 9 to 11. Seats are then held by paying a booking amount.

Where do I apply for a teaching job at this school?

There is no careers page on the school's website, which is why searches for vacancies here come up empty. Openings are announced through the school's own social channels and applications go to its recruitment address. Start from the contact page, and expect the hiring cycle to run January to March for the spring start.

How large are the board-exam cohorts?

The school's CBSE disclosure gives Class 10 candidate numbers of 20, 32 and 36 across three consecutive years, and Class 12 numbers of 23, 41 and 55, with a hundred per cent pass rate reported each year. Those are genuinely small cohorts, which is worth knowing when you ask whether a particular subject combination will run.
