Online test for Class 4 Hindi

The test contains twenty questions from Class 4's complete Hindi curriculum, not individual chapters, because understanding in March means checking whether kaal remains functional when paired with sangya, visheshan and muhavare, not whether it was grasped in July. Questions appear in Hindi, matching how children encounter material in the classroom; explanations follow in English and identify the method once you answer.

  • 28 questions, marked instantly
  • Every answer comes with the reasoning
  • Ends by naming what to revise

Class 4 Hindi test - common questions

Is this Class 4 Hindi online test free?

Absolutely - the test is provided entirely free and you need not sign up. No email address is required, no account must be created, and no login is necessary. Your browser runs the test directly and stores nothing. The score remains visible on the page until you close the tab, which aligns with what our privacy policy states, not something we ask you to believe on faith.

Which syllabus does it follow?

The test is based on NCERT Veena 4, which CBSE schools use as their standard text and which most state boards follow quite closely at this level. ICSE schools teach equivalent grammar but employ somewhat different terminology for certain chapters. The assessment remains beneficial for ICSE students, though some questions may be worded in ways unfamiliar to their particular textbook. Veena 4 succeeded Rimjhim, so children still studying the previous edition are encountering equivalent content with different chapter organisation.

Is there a timer?

This feature is optional and turned off by default. A first attempt should show what a child truly knows rather than how quickly they can answer while being observed, because a timer on an unfamiliar test measures anxiety as much as their understanding of Hindi. The timed version allows roughly forty-five seconds per question, which is approximately exam speed.

Can my child take it more than once?

They can retake it as often as they wish. Questions are selected from a bank, with both the question sequence and answer options reshuffled on each attempt, preventing the second test from being passed through remembering the previous answer's location. A test session a week later provides far greater insight than a second session the same evening.

How is this different from your Class 4 Hindi worksheets?

Worksheets drill a single topic on paper, and you mark them. Tests mark themselves. They serve different functions: a test reveals where gaps exist, while a worksheet closes them. Spending ten minutes on worksheets typically helps families more than an hour spent practising a skill that was never the real problem.
