What this school actually is, and who governs it
Leaders Private School opened in 2004 with 115 children and now teaches 2,060 across an Al Azra campus of roughly 9,600 square metres. That growth is the ordinary part. The less ordinary part is who runs it. The principal, Rafia Zafar Ali, is not only the head of this school: her published profile lists her as a mentor to CBSE-affiliated schools across the Gulf, convenor of the inspection committee that handles affiliation and upgradation for CBSE schools in the region, and a former treasurer of the Council of CBSE Affiliated Schools in the Gulf. She holds the National Award for Teachers, given by the President of India in 2010, and the CBSE Mentor Award of 2013. A family weighing this school is therefore dealing with someone who sits on the other side of the affiliation table at other people's schools, which is an unusual thing to be able to say and a reasonable thing to ask about on a tour.
The grade span starts a year earlier than most of its neighbours. SPEA's register lists Pre-KG alongside KG 1, KG 2 and Classes 1 to 12, and the school's fee schedule prices Pre-KG identically to the two kindergarten years. Among the Sharjah CBSE schools covered here, this is the only one licensed for a Pre-KG intake, which matters to a household that needs a three-year-old placed and would otherwise be looking at nurseries. The kindergarten enters with Hindi at KG 2 rather than KG 1, according to the school's own curriculum outline - English, mathematics, environmental studies and a technology strand come first, and the second language is introduced a year in.
SPEA inspected the school over four days on 4 to 7 November 2024 and rated it Good, the same judgement as the 2022-23 cycle. The strengths the reviewers listed were broad rather than spiky: good achievement in most subjects, pupils' personal and social development, their understanding of Islamic values and awareness of Emirati and world cultures, good teaching across the school, and effective health-and-safety and pastoral procedures. The improvement list is worth reading before an open day, because it is specific and actionable - attainment in Arabic as a second language, a clearer curriculum framework for science in kindergarten, better use of data to stretch higher-attaining and gifted pupils, and sharper self-evaluation. The staffing picture behind those judgements was 115 teachers and eight assistants, a one-to-eighteen ratio, 11 per cent turnover and 22 pupils on the special-needs register.
The school's own public disclosure adds outcomes the regulator does not print: a hundred per cent Class 10 pass in 2024 across 103 candidates, and 98.91 per cent at Class 12 across 92. Those are the school's figures rather than the board's, but they are published under CBSE's mandatory-disclosure rules rather than in marketing copy, which is a meaningful difference. The senior offer is Science and Commerce, with Psychology and Informatics Practices appearing on both lists. A line on the curriculum page announcing that History, Sociology, Political Science, Home Science, Multimedia and Geography would be introduced "from the next Academic Session (2020-21)" is still sitting there six years later, which is exactly the kind of stale web copy a prospective parent should treat as a question rather than a fact. Ask whether any humanities subject actually runs at Class 11 now.
Language provision is the practical differentiator. Hindi runs from KG 2 through Class 10, Arabic is compulsory from Class 1 to Class 12 under ministry rules, and the school offers Malayalam, French or Urdu as an additional language, with the note that these are also introduced from Class 6 to Class 10. The staff list is the corroboration worth more than the prospectus: teachers holding postgraduate qualifications in Malayalam and Hindi, and degrees in Urdu and in French, are listed by name. French plus Malayalam plus Urdu is a wider combination than most schools in the emirate carry, though it is also the sort of provision that depends on cohort numbers year to year.
The last distinguishing thread is environmental. The school's accolades page records the Sharjah Sustainability Award for Green Schools in its first cycle, 2012-13, for rationalising energy and water consumption; the Sharjah Environment Awareness Award in 2014; a BEEAH Environmental Excellence School Award in 2018; and an Outstanding Team Award in the short-film domain of the Sharjah Sustainability Award's seventh cycle, 2018-19, for a film about stray cats and dogs. Four awards from Emirate-level bodies over six years is a sustained programme rather than a one-off assembly, and it is the sort of thing that rarely surfaces in a fee comparison.
Licensing, inspection and complaints sit with Sharjah Private Education Authority. The syllabus, the exams and the certificate come from CBSE, which is a different body answering different questions.
What it costs, and where that number comes from
We print the published schedule or we print nothing. No ranges, no averages, no “approximately” - a parent who budgets against an invented figure finds out at the counter.
2026-27 tuition, by grade
Published schedule| Grade | Annual tuition (AED) |
|---|---|
| Pre-KG | 8,815 |
| KG 1 | 8,815 |
| KG 2 | 8,815 |
| Class 1 | 9,225 |
| Class 2 | 9,225 |
| Class 3 | 9,738 |
| Class 4 | 9,738 |
| Class 5 | 10,660 |
| Class 6 | 10,712 |
| Class 7 | 10,712 |
| Class 8 | 10,712 |
| Class 9 | 11,737 |
| Class 10 | 11,788 |
| Class 11 | 11,788 |
| Class 12 | 14,043 |
The school publishes these as annual tuition for 2026-27 and SPEA's own approved fee letter for licence 138 carries the identical ladder, which is the strongest kind of corroboration a fee figure gets in Sharjah. What sits outside the table: registration AED 200, admission AED 400, an administration charge of AED 375 to 475 depending on phase, uniform at AED 300 to 400, and transport at AED 3,125 for Sharjah and Ajman or AED 3,750 for Qusais and Umm Al Quwain.

Fee increases are governed by SPEA, not by the school, and that is also where a fee dispute goes.
Getting a seat
Age and timing
The school does not publish an age table or a cut-off date on its own site, and nothing has been invented here to fill the gap. What it does publish is an eligibility rule that is unusual enough to check before you apply: admission is open to Indian pupils on merit, with other nationalities also considered, and Arab nationals described as eligible for KG 1 and KG 2. Ask the office directly for the date of birth window for the grade you want.
No opening or closing date for applications is published. Because the academic planner puts the start of the year at 30 March for Classes 1 to 12 and 1 April for the kindergarten phase, the realistic assumption is a winter application cycle, but that is an inference and the office should be asked to confirm it in writing rather than trusted from a page like this one.
What to have ready
- Passport copies for the pupil and both parents, including the visa page
- Emirates ID for pupil and parents
- Birth certificate, for kindergarten and Class 1 entry
- Attested transfer certificate from the previous school
- Four photographs of the pupil and one of each parent
- The attested progress report from the previous year
- Vaccination card
The steps, in order
- 1.Register through the school's online admission portal rather than by email.
- 2.For Class 6 and above, sit the entrance test the school runs; below that the assessment is an interaction session with the section head or supervisor plus the previous year's mark statement.
- 3.For Class 11, submit the final Class 9 mark sheet together with Class 10 pre-board results.
- 4.Complete attestation for an India-issued transfer certificate before submitting it: education officer in India, then the Indian embassy or consulate in the UAE, then the UAE foreign ministry.
- 5.Accept the offer and settle registration, admission and administration charges, which are billed separately from tuition.
- 6.Arrange transport if needed - it is priced by route, not bundled.

What is taught, and which languages are on offer
Streams at Class 11 and 12
Science pairs English with Physics and Chemistry, then Biology or Mathematics alongside Informatics Practices or Psychology. Commerce pairs English with Business Studies, Economics and Accountancy, then Informatics Practices, Mathematics or Psychology. Psychology appears on both lists, which is unusual and gives a pupil unsure between the two routes a subject that travels. A promise on the curriculum page to introduce History, Sociology, Political Science, Home Science, Multimedia and Geography dates from the 2020-21 session and has not been updated since; treat it as a question for the school, not as a subject list.
Languages
The pattern here starts late and widens. Kindergarten teaches English, mathematics, environmental studies and a technology strand, with Hindi appearing at KG 2 rather than KG 1. From Class 1 to Class 10 the core is English plus Hindi, with Malayalam, French or Urdu as the additional-language choice, and the school notes those three are also introduced from Class 6 to Class 10. Arabic is compulsory from Class 1 to Class 12 under ministry rules, with Islamic Studies for Muslim pupils and Moral Education for all, and UAE Social Studies to Class 9. The staff directory names teachers qualified in Malayalam, Hindi, Urdu and French, which is better evidence that a language runs than a subject list is.
What it is known for
A principal who holds CBSE regional office - mentor to Gulf CBSE schools and convenor of the affiliation inspection committee - and a sustained environmental record: four Sharjah-level sustainability and environment awards between 2012 and 2019, including one for a short film about stray animals.

Teaching jobs at LPS Sharjah
Roles this kind of school hires for
- Pre-KG and kindergarten practitioners, the phase SPEA asked the school to strengthen in science
- Primary class teachers across Classes 1 to 5
- Arabic as a second language teachers - the single named improvement priority in the 2024 report
- Additional-language teachers in Malayalam, French and Urdu
- Science and Commerce specialists for Classes 11 and 12, including Psychology and Informatics Practices
- Special educators and data or assessment coordinators, given the review's request for better use of data
When hiring actually runs
Classes 1 to 12 restart on 30 March and the kindergarten on 1 April, so the recruiting year is built backwards from there: January for interviews, March for the heaviest posting as the previous year's notice period expires, and a smaller August wave when the school reopens after the summer on 31 August. The careers page exists but was carrying no listings at the time of checking, so an approach by email is likely to be more productive than waiting for a post.
Before anyone interviews you, the paperwork is SPEA’s teacher licensing route, not the school’s.
Pay, plainly
No UAE authority publishes private-school salaries. SPEA licenses teachers and inspects schools; the Ministry of Education runs the national teaching licence; neither sets pay, and CBSE has no employment role whatsoever. What the regulator does publish for this school is turnover - 11 per cent at the 2024 review - and a teacher-to-pupil ratio of one to eighteen. Ask for the written package rather than the monthly number, and ask separately about housing, flights, medical cover and gratuity.
We list no vacancies of our own for other schools - the link goes to the employer, so nothing here can go stale on a teacher.

LPS Sharjah, honestly answered
Does the school take children before KG 1?
Yes. SPEA's licence covers Pre-KG alongside KG 1, KG 2 and Classes 1 to 12, and the school prices Pre-KG at the same annual tuition as the kindergarten years. It is the only school in this Sharjah group licensed that far down, which makes it worth a call if you need a three-year-old placed rather than a nursery.
Is there an entrance test?
From Class 6 upward, yes - the school states an entrance test is conducted from Grade 6 onwards. For KG 1 through Class 5 the assessment is an interaction session with the section head or supervisor together with the previous year's mark statement. Class 11 applicants must additionally supply the final Class 9 mark sheet and Class 10 pre-board results.
Which languages can my child take besides Hindi?
Malayalam, French or Urdu, offered as the additional-language choice and noted as introduced from Class 6 to Class 10. Arabic is compulsory from Class 1 to Class 12 regardless. The staff directory lists teachers qualified in all four languages, which is stronger evidence that they run than a subject list on its own.
Can my child take Political Science or Sociology at Class 11?
The published streams are Science and Commerce. A sentence on the curriculum page says History, Sociology, Political Science, Home Science, Multimedia and Geography will be introduced from the 2020-21 session, but the page has not been revised since, so it cannot be relied on. Ask the school directly whether any of those subjects currently runs at Class 11.
What did SPEA say needed fixing?
Four things in the November 2024 review: attainment in Arabic as a second language, a clear curriculum framework for science in kindergarten, better use of data by teachers to meet the needs of higher-attaining and gifted pupils, and further refinement of self-evaluation and improvement planning. The overall grade was Good, unchanged from the 2022-23 cycle - see how SPEA grades.
What does it actually cost beyond tuition?
Registration AED 200, admission AED 400, an administration charge between AED 375 and AED 475 depending on phase, uniform at AED 300 to 400, and transport at AED 3,125 for Sharjah and Ajman routes or AED 3,750 for Qusais and Umm Al Quwain. None of that is inside the tuition figure in the table above.
When does the school year run?
Classes 1 to 12 restart on 30 March 2026 and the kindergarten phase on 1 April, with summer vacation from 2 July, teachers back on 24 August and pupils on 31 August, the winter break ending 4 January 2027, annual examinations across February and March, and the following year opening on 12 April 2027. The school week is Monday to Thursday, 07:30 to 14:30, shortened during Ramadan.
Are there published board results?
Yes, in the school's CBSE mandatory-disclosure filing rather than in a brochure: a hundred per cent pass at Class 10 in 2024 across 103 candidates, and 98.91 per cent at Class 12 across 92. These are the school's own returns under CBSE's disclosure rules, which is a stronger footing than a marketing claim but still not the board's own publication.
