Overview

What this school actually is, and who governs it

This is the youngest school on our Sharjah list and by some distance the fastest-growing. It began teaching in April 2016 and, when SPEA's inspectors counted in January 2026, it held 4,424 pupils - 688 in kindergarten, 2,049 in the elementary phase, 1,027 in middle and 660 in high. Ten years from opening to four and a half thousand is a rate of growth that shapes everything else about the place: 206 teachers and 21 assistants, a one-to-twenty-one ratio, and a campus of 52,609 square metres carrying 164 classrooms, three libraries, swimming pools and a 600-seat auditorium. It also shapes the one criticism the regulator recorded about the building, which was overcrowding in a small number of classrooms.

The structural choice families need to know about is gender. The school is co-educational through Class 3 and separates boys and girls into different classes from Class 4 onward, a pattern its own homepage states and SPEA's phase-by-phase counts confirm. It is a middle path between the fully mixed schools in Al Azra and the entirely single-sex campuses at Juwaiza and Ghubaiba, and it means a decision that other schools force at admission is deferred here until a child is nine. The day is a single shift with no morning and afternoon split: kindergarten runs 07:15 to 12:30, Classes 1 to 12 from 07:15 to 14:45.

SPEA reviewed the school most recently on 26 to 29 January 2026, which makes this the freshest inspection in the batch by a full academic year, and rated it Good - the same as the February 2024 review before it. Underneath that headline the sub-judgements run higher than the overall grade suggests: personal and social development Very Good, assessment Very Good, protection and care and safeguarding Very Good, achievement in mathematics and science Very Good. Curriculum came in at Good and Arabic as a second language at Acceptable, which is where the improvement pressure sits. The reviewers also singled out achievement across all subjects in the elementary phase and the stretching of high-attaining and gifted pupils as work still to do, and praised assessment practice, data analysis and pupils' own goal-setting.

The language offer is the thing this school does that most of the emirate does not. Alongside compulsory Arabic from Class 1, it publishes four Indian languages: Hindi, Urdu, Malayalam and Tamil. Tamil in particular is scarce in Sharjah, and SPEA's report does not merely list it but reports on it by phase - Tamil taught in the second phase, Malayalam in the third, Hindi and Urdu in the third and fourth, with purposeful writing in Hindi and Urdu named as a strength. French is not offered. New joiners who arrive without Arabic are placed in a beginner Arabic route rather than exempted, which is the correct reading of the ministry rule and not every school explains it.

On fees, this school publishes something unusual and worth understanding before you compare it with anything else: two columns. Its 2026-27 table gives a ministry-approved figure and a discounted figure side by side - AED 10,690 approved against AED 8,100 discounted in kindergarten, AED 14,220 against AED 11,600 at Class 11, AED 14,220 against AED 12,300 at Class 12. SPEA's own approved letter for 2025-26, which bundles books with tuition, runs from AED 10,429 in kindergarten to AED 13,872 at Classes 11 and 12, and is reproduced in the table on this page because it is the regulator's document. What the discounted column is conditional on is not published, so treat it as a question for the admissions office rather than as the price.

Two other things distinguish the school from its neighbours. The kindergarten runs on a Montessori method inside a CBSE school, which is an unusual pairing and worth seeing in practice. And the technology offer is real rather than decorative: SPEA recorded pupils designing and programming LEGO Spike Prime robots, and rated attainment in IT, multimedia and informatics as outstanding, with marketing and multimedia running as senior-phase subjects. The school belongs to PACE Education Group, which also runs British-curriculum schools in Sharjah and elsewhere - including a Pace British School in the same Muwailah district, separately licensed and separately rated, which is a genuine source of confusion when searching.

Licensing, inspection and complaints sit with Sharjah Private Education Authority. The syllabus, the exams and the certificate come from CBSE, which is a different body answering different questions.

SPEA's approved 2025-26 letter, tuition and books together, with uniform at AED 450 to 550. Note that kindergarten costs more here than Classes 1 to 3, which is in the regulator's letter rather than an error. The school separately publishes a 2026-27 table showing an approved figure and a lower discounted figure in parallel - AED 10,690 against AED 8,100 in kindergarten, AED 14,220 against AED 11,600 at Class 11 - without stating what the discount is conditional on. Bus fares are charged by route and run from AED 2,900 for National Paints to AED 5,000 for the furthest Dubai routes.

Fee increases are governed by SPEA, not by the school, and that is also where a fee dispute goes.

Admissions

Getting a seat

Age and timing

Age is reckoned as on 31 March and the school expresses it as ranges rather than single ages: KG 1 requires a child between four and five, KG 2 between five and six, and Class 1 between six and eight. That Class 1 band is wider than most schools allow and is the sort of flexibility that helps a family relocating mid-year from a different school calendar.

No opening and closing dates are published. The school's own FAQ places the start of the academic year in the first or second week of April, and registration is described as an online form followed by notification about availability in the grade requested, which points to a rolling rather than a fixed-window process. Ask the office for the current position on the grade you need before assuming a seat exists.

What to have ready

  • Passport with the visa page
  • Birth certificate
  • Vaccination card
  • Original Emirates ID plus a copy
  • Four photographs
  • A bonafide certificate from the current school
  • Attested original transfer certificate and attested report card - from Class 2 onward by 31 May, and from KG 1 onward from 1 June

The steps, in order

  1. 1.Complete the online registration form on the school's portal.
  2. 2.Wait for the school to tell you whether the grade you asked for has space - availability, not assessment, is the first gate.
  3. 3.Bring the child in with the documents for initial screening by the admission committee.
  4. 4.Submit the admission form and make the payments that confirm the seat.
  5. 5.Ask explicitly about the discounted fee column before paying, since the school publishes two figures per grade and does not say what separates them.
  6. 6.Choose a bus route if needed - fares vary by more than AED 2,000 a year depending on where you live.

Academics

What is taught, and which languages are on offer

Streams at Class 11 and 12

The school does not publish named stream labels for Classes 11 and 12 anywhere on its site, so none is asserted here. What can be evidenced comes from SPEA's January 2026 review, which reports on senior-phase attainment subject by subject: accountancy, economics, business and marketing on the commerce side; home science; and outstanding attainment in IT, multimedia and informatics. A science and computing route and a commerce route are therefore both demonstrably running. Whether the school labels them as streams, and what combinations it permits within each, is a question for the admissions office rather than something to read off a page.

Languages

Arabic is compulsory from Class 1 under ministry rules, and the school runs a beginner Arabic route for pupils joining without it rather than exempting them. Beside Arabic it publishes four Indian languages - Hindi, Urdu, Malayalam and Tamil - and the regulator's report confirms all four in the timetable rather than in a prospectus, placing Tamil in the second phase, Malayalam in the third, and Hindi and Urdu in the third and fourth, with writing in Hindi and Urdu singled out as strong. French is not offered here. Arabic as a second language was rated Acceptable and is the school's most clearly identified weakness.

What it is known for

Montessori method in the kindergarten of a CBSE school; LEGO Spike Prime robotics with outstanding attainment recorded in IT, multimedia and informatics; and a co-educational lower school that separates boys and girls from Class 4. At 6.8 per cent, staff turnover is the lowest of any school in this group except Sharjah Indian School.

Second languages listed for this school

Language options are set by the school and can differ between year groups. Confirm the combination for your child’s entry grade in writing before accepting a seat. Full list across every school: filter schools by second language.

Currently offered here: Arabic, Hindi, Urdu, Malayalam, Tamil.

For teachers

Teaching jobs at Pace Sharjah

Roles this kind of school hires for

  • Montessori-trained kindergarten practitioners, which is a narrower requirement than a CBSE primary qualification
  • Elementary-phase teachers - the phase the January 2026 review named first for improvement
  • Arabic as a second language teachers, rated Acceptable and flagged across all phases
  • Tamil, Malayalam, Hindi and Urdu language teachers
  • Computing, multimedia and robotics teachers for the LEGO Spike Prime and informatics programme
  • Special educators, and support roles such as IT support engineer that the group posts alongside teaching vacancies

When hiring actually runs

The school year opens in the first or second week of April, so hiring runs January through March with a smaller August round. There is no careers page on the school's own domain - the addresses one would expect all return 404 - and vacancies are posted instead on the PACE Education Group portal, filtered by school, with closing dates attached. Applications by email to the school's careers address are the alternative route.

Before anyone interviews you, the paperwork is SPEA’s teacher licensing route, not the school’s.

Pay, plainly

Nothing about teacher pay in UAE private schools is published by a regulator, so no figure appears here. The numbers that are published and that bear on the question: 206 teachers and 21 assistants for 4,424 pupils, a one-to-twenty-one ratio, and turnover of 6.8 per cent - the second-lowest in this Sharjah group, which is usually a better signal about a workplace than a salary band would be. Ask for the full package in writing, including housing, flights, medical cover and gratuity.

We list no vacancies of our own for other schools - the link goes to the employer, so nothing here can go stale on a teacher.

Questions parents ask

Pace Sharjah, honestly answered

Is the school co-educational?

Partly. It is co-educational through Class 3 and separates boys and girls into different classes from Class 4 onward, a structure the school states itself and which SPEA's phase-by-phase counts bear out. That is a middle position between the fully mixed and fully single-sex options elsewhere in Sharjah, and it defers a decision other schools force at admission.

Can my child study Tamil here?

Yes. Tamil is one of four Indian languages the school publishes alongside compulsory Arabic, with Hindi, Urdu and Malayalam. It is one of very few Sharjah schools where this is verifiable rather than claimed: SPEA's January 2026 report discusses Tamil teaching by phase, placing it in the second phase. French is not offered here.

Why does the school list two different fees for the same grade?

Its 2026-27 table carries a ministry-approved column and a discounted column - AED 10,690 against AED 8,100 in kindergarten, for instance, and AED 14,220 against AED 11,600 at Class 11. The school does not publish what the discount depends on. Ask before you budget, and ask whether it applies to a new admission or only to continuing families.

How recent is the inspection?

Very. SPEA reviewed the school on 26 to 29 January 2026, making this the most recently inspected school in this Sharjah group. The overall grade was Good, matching the February 2024 review. Personal development, assessment and safeguarding were each Very Good; Arabic as a second language was Acceptable and is the clearest weakness on the record.

What streams are available at Class 11?

The school does not publish stream labels, which is why this page does not list any. What the regulator's report evidences is a commerce route - accountancy, economics, business, marketing - and a science and computing route with outstanding attainment in IT, multimedia and informatics. Get the permitted subject combinations in writing from the admissions office before committing at Class 10.

Is this the same as Pace British School in Muwailah?

No. They are separate schools, separately licensed by SPEA, in the same district and under the same owner, PACE Education Group. One teaches CBSE and one teaches a British curriculum, and each carries its own inspection grade. Check the licence number or the curriculum on any document before assuming it describes the school you mean.

How large are the classes?

SPEA recorded a teacher-to-pupil ratio of one to twenty-one across 4,424 pupils, and named overcrowding in a small number of classrooms as a specific concern. A ratio is not a class size, so ask on a tour how many children sit in a typical Class 4 or Class 8 room, and ask which rooms the inspectors were describing.

What are the school hours?

A single shift, with no morning and afternoon split: kindergarten 07:15 to 12:30 and Classes 1 to 12 from 07:15 to 14:45. The office is open Monday to Thursday from 07:30 to 16:00 and on Sunday from 08:00 to 15:30, which is worth knowing if you need to submit documents in person.
