This follows the GCERT Class 7 Gujarati curriculum taught in schools across the Gujarat State Board. Because these phenomena frequently occur in tandem, students commonly confuse them, but the distinction lies in the question each asks—sandhi requires identifying sound changes, while samaas requires identifying the loss of semantic elements.
