Twenty-one questions on उपसर्ग and प्रत्यय - assembling the parts, recognising them in complete words, and stating what each signifies. Roughly half ask for meaning instead of the form, because meaning questions are effective even with words a child has not yet encountered.

Class 7 Sanskrit test - common questions
Is this Class 7 Sanskrit online test free?
Absolutely and with no enrolment. No email addresses are needed, no account is created, and no login is required. The test runs within your browser with no information retained. Your score appears on screen and is erased when the tab is closed, in line with our privacy terms - this is our actual method, not something asking for your belief.
Which syllabus does it follow?
This follows NCERT Ruchira Part 2, the textbook used by CBSE Class 7 Sanskrit students. It moves on from राम-type words into the territory of इ-कारांत and ई-कारांत words such as मुनि and नदी, includes two more लकार within the verb conjugation table and introduces कारक and स्वर संधि. This is the critical year where Sanskrit transitions from purely being memorised into actually being understood through reasoning.
Is there a timer?
The timer is optional and turned off by default. An initial attempt should demonstrate what the child understands rather than how quickly they retrieve declension tables whilst under time pressure. When activated, the timed mode provides approximately one minute per question, more closely matching examination conditions.
Can my child take it more than once?
Unlimited attempts permitted. The test pulls from a question pool and reshuffles with every session, making success via simple recall impossible. A second sitting one week later provides far more meaningful data than a repeat later the same day.
My child was fine with राम-type words in Class 6. Why is this harder?
राम, बालक and फल conclude with अ, and learning one means the rest follow the identical pattern. मुनि, नदी and मति finish in इ and ई, representing a separate pattern with distinct endings—this is not a matter of the child overlooking Class 6, but an actual fresh table to master.
