Class 6 Science food and nutrition test
Twenty questions test food and nutrition exclusively, the first chapter of Class 6 science that most students assume they grasp from earlier EVS study. The real difficulty is not the food—it is identifying what role each nutrient plays, and what particular deficiency results from lacking one. Each question clarifies its rationale, and the final screen indicates which chapter portion requires attention.

Class 6 Science test - common questions
Why does the food chapter feel too easy at first and then get harder?
The initial concepts - food origins and nutrient definitions - connect closely with prior EVS learning, so they seem recognisable. What comes next is genuinely new: connecting a specific nutrient, a specific food, and a specific deficiency illness as an interconnected chain rather than isolated information. Marks typically slip at this linking stage, not during the introduction.
How many nutrients does Class 6 expect a child to know?
The diet requires six nutrients: carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins, minerals and roughage, with water included. Vitamins and minerals are further divided into specific named types - vitamin A, C and D, along with calcium and iron - since each performs its own function and correlates with a particular deficiency disease.
Is this Class 6 science online test free?
It is completely free with no registration required. There is no need for an email address, account creation, or login. The browser runs the test, with no data saved anywhere. Your score appears on the page and vanishes when you close the tab. This matches what our privacy policy says we do, rather than asking you to take our word for it.
Is there a timer?
A choice left disabled at the outset. Initial assessments ought to reflect what a child grasps rather than how swiftly they can work under observation. A timer on a new test captures anxiety alongside actual understanding. When timed mode is enabled, roughly forty-five seconds per question is allowed, matching typical exam conditions.
Can my child take it more than once?
Retake endlessly. Questions draw from a bank with both sequence and option placement reshuffled on each attempt, blocking passage via position-recall alone. Testing again after one week yields considerably more beneficial feedback compared to same-day retesting.
How is this different from your Class 6 science worksheets?
Worksheets provide concentrated single-topic work on paper, marked by you; these auto-grade. They meet separate purposes - tests identify learning gaps, worksheets address them. Ten minutes here commonly benefits more than an hour practising unproblematic topics.
