Class 2 Punjabi test - common questions
Is this Class 2 Punjabi online test free?
It is entirely free, with no registration needed. No email address is required, no account must be created, and no login is necessary. The test runs completely within your browser. Nothing is saved to any database - the score appears on the page itself and disappears when you shut the tab. This is precisely what our privacy policy undertakes to do, rather than something we ask you to believe on faith.
Which syllabus does it follow?
This test follows the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) Class 2 Punjabi syllabus, where Punjabi is a required first language. Learners studying Punjabi as a secondary language in Delhi, Haryana or Chandigarh encounter the same letter system and basic grammar structures, making this test valuable for them as well.
Is there a timer?
The timer is optional and disabled by default. A first test should reveal what your seven-year-old understands, not how quickly they work under observation. With an unfamiliar test and a timer running, anxiety counts for as much as Punjabi knowledge.
Can my child take it more than once?
Your child can take it as many times as they wish. Questions come from a pool and are presented in random order each time, with answer positions also rearranged. This means a second attempt cannot be succeeded through recalling that the right answer was previously in the third position.
What is ਮੁਹਾਰਨੀ, and why does it matter?
ਮੁਹਾਰਨੀ represents the conventional Gurmukhi letter grid, whereby each consonant combines with every vowel symbol sequentially - ਕਾ, ਕਿ, ਕੀ, ਕੁ and so forth. Practising this develops the fluid consonant-with-vowel recognition upon which all subsequent Punjabi relies, analogous to how multiplication tables provide the foundation for advanced mathematics.
