This includes twenty questions focused on लिंग, requiring identification of whether a naming word belongs to पुल्लिंग, स्त्रीलिंग or नपुंसकलिंग, and exploring how the verb shifts accordingly. Class 2 Marathi test - common questions
Is this Class 2 Marathi online test free?
Registration is not required, and the service is completely free. You need provide no email, no account credentials, and nothing to log in. The test executes within your browser, retaining nothing. Your score is visible only whilst the test is active and is removed when you exit the tab - our privacy policy reflects this rather than asking you to take it on trust.
My child does not speak Marathi at home - is this test still useful?
Yes, it is beneficial to slow down at this point. Each question tests letter recognition, जोडाक्षरे and basic vocabulary rather than fluent comprehension. Having your child read each option aloud whilst you listen during the first attempt yields significantly more benefit than repeating the test alone.
Which syllabus does it follow?
Marathi for Class 2 as taught across Maharashtra via the Balbharati curriculum of the State Board. The Compulsory Teaching of Marathi Act 2020 requires all schools in the state to teach this course—CBSE, ICSE and IB schools alongside state board schools.
Can my child take it more than once?
The test may be retaken without limit. Each attempt draws questions at random from a larger set, and both the sequence and answer choices vary on repetition, making position-based memorisation ineffective.
What is a जोडाक्षर, and why is it hard?
A जोडाक्षर consists of two consonants written as a joined form with no vowel between, such as 'त्र' within 'पत्र'. This is difficult because the combination appears as one unknown shape rather than two recognisable letters, leading children to guess at the entire word rather than decode it.
