Class 1 EVS my family test
The test has twenty questions on family—relationships and household roles—typically the second environmental science topic Class 1 children encounter, following the unit on their own bodies. Every question draws on connections young six-year-olds experience directly, and each response clarifies the reasoning in straightforward language.

Class 1 EVS test - common questions
Why does Class 1 EVS spend a whole chapter on family?
The family is the earliest community a child encounters, and grasping family roles and relationships develops the same understanding needed for communities, neighbourhoods and wider society. Additionally, this chapter builds on knowledge every child possesses through their own real-life experience.
My family looks different from the 'typical' family in the textbook. Will that confuse my child?
No, it should not, and this deserves clear statement: families take many forms - whether extended households, single-parent homes, or grandparents as carers - and each constitutes a whole family. Our test makes no assumption about a single ideal family model; instead it emphasises bonds and support.
Is this Class 1 EVS online test free?
Entirely free without needing registration. No email required, no account created, no login. The browser handles testing locally without data retention. The score displays only on your page and is cleared when the tab closes—this is what our privacy policy guarantees, not an unsupported request for trust.
What does EVS mean at Class 1?
Environmental Studies presents the world that a six-year-old inhabits as an academic subject. Topics include the body, family, plants, animals, food, home and weather - all things the child has already encountered. This test values observation of what children have already seen, not the memorisation of unfamiliar facts.
Can my child take it more than once?
Learners may retake the test as many times as wished. Each attempt selects questions from a broader collection, shuffling both the order of presentation and the positions of answer choices. As a result, a second attempt cannot succeed by merely recalling that the correct answer occupied the third position.
How is this different from your Class 1 EVS worksheets?
Worksheets take a single topic in depth on paper with your marking. These tests mark themselves. A test shows where the weakness is, a worksheet addresses it - most families benefit more from a quick test than from an hour spent on something that was not problematic.
