Online test for Class 1 Gujarati

The test draws questions from the complete Class 1 year—covering letters and simple words rather than concentrating on a single lesson. The relevant capability in March is whether a letter remains recognisable when presented away from the page on which it was originally learned. Each answer provides explanation, and the final screen identifies what requires further practice.

  • 26 questions, marked instantly
  • Every answer comes with the reasoning
  • Ends by naming what to revise
  • Nothing stored, no account, no email

Class 1 Gujarati test - common questions

Is this Class 1 Gujarati online test free?

Yes, completely, and there is no sign-up. No email, no account, no login. The test runs in the browser and nothing is stored - the score lives on the page and disappears when the tab closes, which is what our privacy policy promises rather than something we ask you to trust.

Which syllabus does it follow?

This test uses the GCERT Class 1 Gujarati curriculum followed in Gujarat State Board schools. A 2023 state regulation mandates Gujarati as a compulsory language subject throughout Gujarat, so schools using CBSE or ICSE syllabuses in the state teach the identical letters, which form the basis of this test.

Is there a timer?

This feature is optional and turned off by default. At age six, a clock creates pressure unrelated to letter recognition, which is why a first attempt should focus only on revealing what the child actually knows.

Can my child take it more than once?

Your child can retry whenever they wish. The test draws from a question pool, and the sequence is reshuffled each time, making most of the second attempt new rather than from memory.

My child knows the alphabet but hesitates on words - is that normal?

Significantly. Identifying an isolated letter and recognising it within a word represent distinct capabilities, with the latter typically developing several months after the former at this age. Directing attention to the word and articulating it gradually, instead of isolating each letter's sound, helps bridge that developmental difference.
