Class 1 Kannada enike test

The test comprises twenty-one questions focussing on ಎಣಿಕೆ: rendering numerals as Kannada words, sequencing number words and tallying small collections. Answers appear as words rather than numerals, since the verbal form represents what a six-year-old needs to acquire, not what they already possess.

  • 21 questions, marked instantly
  • Every answer comes with the reasoning
  • Ends by naming what to revise
  • Nothing stored, no account, no email

Class 1 Kannada test - common questions

Is this Class 1 Kannada online test free?

Yes, fully free with no sign-up needed. Nothing requires registration—no email address, no account creation, no login credentials. Your browser runs the test, keeping no data after you finish. The score displays right on your page and vanishes the moment you close the tab, exactly as our privacy policy states rather than as a leap of faith.

Which syllabus does it follow?

This covers the Karnataka State Board (KSEEB) Class 1 Kannada course, which government schools and most private schools in Karnataka teach. Children studying Kannada as a second or third language through CBSE encounter the same letters and words, making the test worthwhile for them too, although CBSE children may have less exposure to the script at this point.

Is there a timer?

This is optional and starts disabled. The initial attempt should demonstrate what your six-year-old understands, not how quickly they work when observed, because a timer on an unfamiliar test gauges anxiety equally with Kannada. Young children rarely gain advantage from time pressure during their opening attempt.

Can my child take it more than once?

Your child can attempt it at any time. The test draws questions from a bank and reshuffles the order of questions and answer positions on each new attempt, so a second try cannot be passed simply by remembering which number was correct. A retest one week after the first try offers clearer feedback than one taken the same evening.

My child cannot read Kannada well yet - is this test too hard?

It is designed specifically for this level. Every item contains just a single brief line, and options are presented as single characters or individual terms, never as complex sentences requiring interpretation. A parent vocalising the question one time and allowing the child to select the answer remains an appropriate approach at this age.
