Class 1 EVS my body test

The test contains twenty questions focused on the body - its parts, the five senses, and basic hygiene. EVS courses typically introduce this material as the opening chapter for Class 1 students. Each question addresses a body part that a six-year-old can locate on their own body. Answers are written in straightforward language and explain the reasoning behind each answer.

Class 1 EVS test - common questions

Why does Class 1 EVS start with the body rather than plants or animals?

It is the subject that all children already understand thoroughly before formal education begins - they can identify their own eyes, ears and hands without instruction. Using this foundation as an entry point gives a six-year-old a confidence boost before progressing to content requiring observation rather than direct sensation.

My child mixes up smell and taste - is that common?

A frequent point of confusion, given that the two senses operate in close proximity around the mouth and nose, and much of what we perceive as 'taste' is actually olfactory sensation. A useful method for distinguishing them is posing 'do you detect it via your nose or perceive it via your tongue' whenever the question arises.

Is this Class 1 EVS online test free?

Entirely free without needing registration. No email required, no account created, no login. The browser handles testing locally without data retention. The score displays only on your page and is cleared when the tab closes—this is what our privacy policy guarantees, not an unsupported request for trust.

What does EVS mean at Class 1?

Environmental Studies presents the world that a six-year-old inhabits as an academic subject. Topics include the body, family, plants, animals, food, home and weather - all things the child has already encountered. This test values observation of what children have already seen, not the memorisation of unfamiliar facts.

Can my child take it more than once?

Learners may retake the test as many times as wished. Each attempt selects questions from a broader collection, shuffling both the order of presentation and the positions of answer choices. As a result, a second attempt cannot succeed by merely recalling that the correct answer occupied the third position.

How is this different from your Class 1 EVS worksheets?

Worksheets take a single topic in depth on paper with your marking. These tests mark themselves. A test shows where the weakness is, a worksheet addresses it - most families benefit more from a quick test than from an hour spent on something that was not problematic.
