Class 10 English determiners test
Twenty-two questions focus on determiners exclusively—the modest words preceding a noun that specify its quantity, identity or ownership. They slip past easily since each is brief, so this test slows perception. Every question clarifies why one determiner suits and others miss, and the concluding screen indicates which category needs revision.

Class 10 English test - common questions
What exactly is a determiner?
Determiners are words that sit before nouns to indicate which one, how many or to whom something belongs. They include articles (a, an, the), demonstratives (this, that), possessives (my, her) and quantifiers (some, many, a little). These words may be small, yet they carry substantial weight. When the wrong determiner is used, it modifies what a sentence truly means, rather than just affecting its sound.
Why do many/much and few/little cause so much confusion?
The selection of the correct determiner depends on whether the noun that follows it is countable or uncountable, and this distinction is not consistently obvious to all learners. For instance, words such as 'advice' and 'furniture' have a countable feel to them but actually function as uncountable. Once a child can reliably sort a noun into one of these two groups, the correct determiner choice nearly always follows quite naturally and automatically.
Is this Class 10 English online test free?
Absolutely - it requires no sign-up of any kind. We do not ask for an email, an account or a login. The test operates entirely in your browser and stores nothing. Your score appears on the page while it is open, then vanishes once you close the tab. This behaviour is guaranteed by our privacy policy, not something you need to take on trust.
Is there a timer?
It is optional and starts in the off position. Your child's first attempt should demonstrate actual knowledge, not working speed under observation. Timed mode allocates approximately one minute per question, which matches the board examination's grammar section pace.
Can my child take it more than once?
Your child can retake it as often as wished. The test draws from a question bank with both the question order and the answer position shuffled each attempt, so success on a second try requires genuine knowledge not position memory.
How is this different from your Class 10 English worksheets?
Paper worksheets concentrate on one grammar topic and require your assessment; our tests self-assess and combine topics as the board paper does. A test locates where understanding breaks down, whilst a worksheet remedies it.
