The curriculum follows Kerala SCERT standards, covering what SSLC students in Kerala undertake. Malayalam is mandated for all students from Class 1 through Class 10 in every school across the state, as established by the Kerala Learning of Malayalam Language Act 2017. CBSE and ICSE schools in Kerala teach nearly identical grammar content, making this test equally effective for their students.

The timer is optional and turned off by default. An initial test attempt should reflect what the child understands rather than their working speed under scrutiny, since a time limit on a novel assessment measures stress just as much as Malayalam comprehension. When enabled, the timed setting provides approximately forty-five seconds per question, matching typical examination conditions.

Students may sit the test repeatedly. Questions are selected from a collection with the sequence and answer choices randomised on each attempt, preventing success through mere memorisation of prior answers. A second attempt separated by a week provides much more insight than one taken the same evening.

A worksheet provides concentrated practice on a single topic through paper-based exercises, which you grade; this one grades itself while drawing from the full year's material.
