Class 9 Sanskrit samas test
There are twenty-one questions focusing on समास - classifying the type of an unfamiliar compound word and identifying the specific principle that defines each classification, split roughly evenly between these two tasks. Simply memorising that राजपुरुषः belongs to तत्पुरुष does not demonstrate whether a student can examine a compound not previously encountered and determine which structural category applies - and that is precisely what the examination tests.

Class 9 Sanskrit test - common questions
Is this Class 9 Sanskrit online test free?
Fully, at no cost and with no account requirement. There is no necessity for an email address, account setup, or authentication. Your test functions in the browser with no persistent data, so the score displays temporarily and clears when you close your browser, aligning with what our privacy policy genuinely guarantees rather than requesting your acceptance.
Which syllabus does it follow?
It covers NCERT Shemushi Part 1 and Vyakaranavithi, which CBSE schools teach for Class 9 Sanskrit. संधि and समास build on Class 8 and are taken further, वाच्य (voice) and अशुद्धि शोधन (error correction) are introduced, and this is the year when board-exam-style grammar questions typically begin appearing in the manner they will be tested in Class 10.
Is there a timer?
This feature is optional and disabled initially. A first attempt should reveal what a child understands rather than how quickly they recall grammar rules with a clock running. When timed mode is on, there is roughly one minute per question, matching exam tempo more closely.
Can my child take it more than once?
Students can take it as many times as they choose. Questions come from a pool and are reshuffled each time, which prevents success through simple memorisation of answer positions. A second attempt separated by a week provides substantially more useful information than attempting again the same day.
What is vachya, and why is it new this year?
Voice in Hindi grammar, or वाच्य, describes whether a sentence centres on the agent performing the action (कर्तृवाच्य) or the target receiving it (कर्मवाच्य). Throughout Classes 6 to 8, students primarily encountered कर्तृवाच्य constructions, making कर्मवाच्य genuinely fresh material rather than a previously omitted chapter.
