What a Class 3 parent is actually paying for

Class 3 marks the biggest shift in Indian primary school, and most parents sense it before they can articulate it. It's the first year of the NEP 2020 Preparatory Stage: textbooks become substantive, short written tests begin, multiplication tables arrive, and reading questions shift from "what did the text say" to "what does it mean". A child who coasted easily through Class 1 and 2 can suddenly seem to struggle—without anything actually going wrong.

What changes at Class 3

  • Reads an unfamiliar text with meaning at 60 words a minute or better
  • Answers comprehension questions about the main idea, the sequence and the conclusion
  • Builds and uses the multiplication tables of 2, 3, 4, 5 and 10 in real situations
  • Reads and writes numbers up to 999 using place value

What Class 3 parents tell us goes wrong

  • Reads the passage correctly but cannot answer a 'why do you think' question about it
  • Has memorised tables as a chant but cannot use 4 × 6 to solve a word problem
  • Panics at word problems because the sum is hidden inside language
  • Writes one sentence when six are asked for, and does not know how to continue

Fees for every other class

Banded by stage, so Class 1 to 5 is one price, Class 6 to 8 another and Class 9 and 10 a third. Nothing is quoted on a call.

What Class 3 tuition covers

Class 3 fees - what parents ask

How much does Class 3 tuition cost per month?

₹3,000 a month for Class 3 in a live group of three, covering 16 live classes/month. One-to-one is more. That is the published price for Class 1 to 5, and there is no admission fee, no material fee and no annual charge on top of it.

Why does Class 3 cost less than other classes?

Fees are banded by stage rather than set per class, so Class 1 to 5 is one price. Class 1 to 5 is the lowest band because one teacher can genuinely cover the whole year's work, and the sessions are shorter because the attention span is.

Is there anything to pay before the first class?

No. The first class is free and there is no card involved, so there is nothing to cancel if it is not right. Payment starts only from the month you decide to continue.

What does a Class 3 parent get for that fee?

Every subject your child's school is covering, Aligned to CBSE, ICSE or your state board, Exam & revision preparation - and a monthly note on what the teacher actually noticed, which is the part most families say they had never had before.
