What a Class 5 parent is actually paying for
Class 5 is the last year of primary school, and its real job is preparation for what comes next. It is the final year of the NEP 2020 Preparatory Stage: in Class 6 The World Around Us splits into Science and Social Science, a third language is introduced, and the whole rhythm of school becomes subject-based. Meanwhile Class 5 itself brings decimals, long division and independent reading. Getting this year right is less about marks than about whether a ten-year-old can now learn from a textbook on her own.
What changes at Class 5
- Reads and writes numbers beyond 1,000 and works confidently with place value
- Divides using a standard written method and can explain each step
- Converts fractions into decimals and decimals back into fractions
- Reads storybooks, headlines and advertisements independently and talks about them
What Class 5 parents tell us goes wrong
- Follows the long division steps without understanding what is being shared
- Reads 0.25 as 'zero point twenty-five' with no sense of its size
- Writes long answers that restate the question rather than answering it
- Has never had to plan revision, and does not know how to start
Fees for every other class
Banded by stage, so Class 1 to 5 is one price, Class 6 to 8 another and Class 9 and 10 a third. Nothing is quoted on a call.
- Class 1 · ₹3,000
- Class 2 · ₹3,000
- Class 3 · ₹3,000
- Class 4 · ₹3,000
- Class 6 · ₹4,000
- Class 7 · ₹4,000
- Class 8 · ₹4,000
- Class 9 · ₹5,000
- Class 10 · ₹5,000
What Class 5 tuition covers
Class 5 fees - what parents ask
How much does Class 5 tuition cost per month?
₹3,000 a month for Class 5 in a live group of three, covering 16 live classes/month. One-to-one is more. That is the published price for Class 1 to 5, and there is no admission fee, no material fee and no annual charge on top of it.
Why does Class 5 cost less than other classes?
Fees are banded by stage rather than set per class, so Class 1 to 5 is one price. Class 1 to 5 is the lowest band because one teacher can genuinely cover the whole year's work, and the sessions are shorter because the attention span is.
Is there anything to pay before the first class?
No. The first class is free and there is no card involved, so there is nothing to cancel if it is not right. Payment starts only from the month you decide to continue.
What does a Class 5 parent get for that fee?
Every subject your child's school is covering, Aligned to CBSE, ICSE or your state board, Exam & revision preparation - and a monthly note on what the teacher actually noticed, which is the part most families say they had never had before.
The Class 5 price is on this page. The first class is free.
