What a Class 9 parent is actually paying for
Class 9 is the Secondary Stage's first year, with an unusual structure: no board exam tests it, yet it shapes Class 10 entirely. Two major changes happen simultaneously. Maths shifts from computation to proof—asking students to explain why rather than just calculate answers, a fundamentally different skill from Middle School. Science remains one textbook but splits internally into Physics, Chemistry and Biology, each with distinct logic. The temptation to coast is strong because consequences feel a year away. Yet almost every Class 10 problem we address traces back to a Class 9 gap nobody caught when it mattered.
What changes at Class 9
- Works with irrational numbers and surds and can place them on a number line
- Factorises polynomials and uses the remainder and factor ideas rather than trial and error
- Plots and reads coordinates, and links a linear equation to the line it draws
- Writes a geometry proof with reasons stated, not just a diagram with numbers on it
What Class 9 parents tell us goes wrong
- Treats a proof as a paragraph to memorise rather than an argument to construct
- Knows the geometry theorem and cannot say which step of the proof it justifies
- Coasts through the year because there is no board exam, then meets Class 10 with a broken base
- Handles Physics formulas but cannot set up the problem from the description
Fees for every other class
Banded by stage, so Class 1 to 5 is one price, Class 6 to 8 another and Class 9 and 10 a third. Nothing is quoted on a call.
- Class 1 · ₹3,000
- Class 2 · ₹3,000
- Class 3 · ₹3,000
- Class 4 · ₹3,000
- Class 5 · ₹3,000
- Class 6 · ₹4,000
- Class 7 · ₹4,000
- Class 8 · ₹4,000
- Class 10 · ₹5,000
What Class 9 tuition covers
Class 9 fees - what parents ask
How much does Class 9 tuition cost per month?
₹5,000 a month for Class 9 in a live group of three, covering 16 live classes/month. One-to-one is more. That is the published price for Class 9 and 10, and there is no admission fee, no material fee and no annual charge on top of it.
Why does Class 9 cost more than other classes?
Fees are banded by stage rather than set per class, so Class 9 and 10 is one price. Class 9 and 10 cost more because the teaching is board-exam work: past papers, marking schemes and answer structure, which needs a subject specialist rather than a generalist.
Is there anything to pay before the first class?
No. The first class is free and there is no card involved, so there is nothing to cancel if it is not right. Payment starts only from the month you decide to continue.
What does a Class 9 parent get for that fee?
Every subject your child's school is covering, Aligned to CBSE, ICSE or your state board, Exam & revision preparation - and a monthly note on what the teacher actually noticed, which is the part most families say they had never had before.
The Class 9 price is on this page. The first class is free.
