Class 8 Kannada samasa test

The test covers all seven samasa types by requiring students to identify which word dominates the meaning—whether both, one, neither, or a number. Karmadharaya and tatpurusha are the pair pupils most commonly confuse, since both connect two nouns; the distinction lies in whether the first word functions as an adjective modifying the second. This test is specifically structured to solidify that distinction.

  • 21 questions, marked instantly
  • Every answer comes with the reasoning
  • Ends by naming what to revise

Class 8 Kannada test - common questions

Is this Class 8 Kannada online test free?

Yes, wholly free with no registration required. You need no email address, no account to open, no login details. Your browser executes the test and records nothing. The score appears right on the page and disappears as soon as the tab closes, aligning exactly with our privacy policy commitment rather than something we request blind faith about.

Which syllabus does it follow?

This test covers the Karnataka State Board (KSEEB) Class 8 Kannada course, which is followed by government schools and most independent schools in Karnataka. The Kannada Language Learning Act, 2015 requires Kannada to be taught as either a first or second language in every school throughout Karnataka - this includes CBSE and ICSE schools - so all Class 8 children in the state learn this same grammar regardless of their board.

Is there a timer?

Optional and off by default. First attempts should display what a child understands, not how swiftly they perform under examination, since a timer on an unfamiliar assessment measures tension as much as language ability. A thirteen-year-old gains little from being timed on an initial attempt.

Can my child take it more than once?

Children can attempt it as many times as they choose. The question bank shuffles both the question sequence and answer options with each try, making it impossible to succeed on a second go simply by recalling the answer's former location. A test repeated after a week reveals considerably more than retrying the same evening.

Why does samasa have so many named types?

The relationship connecting the two joined words varies with each instance—sometimes one word dominates the meaning, sometimes both hold equal weight, and sometimes the compound refers to something altogether different, as when ಪೀತಾಂಬರ denotes Krishna and not simply 'yellow cloth'. To identify the type requires understanding that relationship, which constitutes the bulk of what this test assesses.
