Indian-curriculum schools, with the sources attached

Every record here names where its facts came from and when someone last opened that page. Where nothing is published, the page says nothing is published rather than filling the gap with an estimate.

Three things to check before you apply

  1. 1. Which authority licences the school, because that is who hears a complaint.
  2. 2. Whether the second language your child has already studied is taught from the grade you are joining.
  3. 3. What sits outside tuition - transport, books, uniform, registration.

Filter by board, city or second language

A family choosing a school is really asking three questions at once, and only one of them is answered anywhere online. The first is whether the curriculum continues - easy enough, because a CBSE school abroad teaches the same NCERT books in the same order as one in India. The second is what it costs, which depends entirely on which authority the school sits under: Dubai publishes open fee data, several of its neighbours do not, and a comparison built across that gap is a guess wearing a table.

The third question is the one that moves families and that nobody indexes. Can the child carry on with the language they have already spent four years on? Second and third language options are set school by school, sometimes cohort by cohort, from staffing and from how many pupils opt in. No regulator publishes them in a searchable form. So we store them as data on every record, which is why the language filter below is a real filter and not a label.

Filtering here happens in your browser over the whole list. There are no filtered URLs, so nothing thin gets created for a search engine to find, and every school stays one link away whatever you have selected.

Before you write in

What this index is, and what it is not

Why is this index so small?

Because a school only appears once someone has written its page and named the source for every fact on it. Scraping a directory would have produced a thousand entries in a day and none of them would have been worth reading. A short index that is right is more use than a long one that is repeated from somewhere else.

Why is the second language a filter and not a footnote?

Because it is the question families actually move house over. A child who has done four years of Tamil or Malayalam cannot simply restart in French, and no regulator publishes language options in any form you can search. Every school record here carries its language list as data, so the filter is real rather than decorative.

Are these schools you run, or partner with?

Neither. We teach online and we have no commercial relationship with any school listed here. That is exactly why the pages can say a fee is unpublished or that a rating has not been verified - there is nothing to protect.

Why do some pages leave fees blank?

Because the regulator publishes nothing we could verify, and an estimated fee is worse than no fee. Dubai's KHDA publishes open fee data; several other authorities do not. Where a figure exists we print it with its source and the date it was last checked; where it does not, the page says so and tells you who to ask.

Can I use this to compare two schools in different cities?

Partly, and the page will tell you where the comparison breaks. Inspection frameworks, fee publication and even the academic calendar differ between authorities, so two grades that look alike can come from different scales. The regulator page for each school is the place that difference is explained.

How often is a record rechecked?

Every source carries the date it was last opened, printed next to the fact it supports. If that date looks old to you, treat the fact as old - that is what it is there for. Fees and admission windows move yearly; a regulator's remit rarely does.
